The Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini of Parma, one of the most appreciated Italian symphonic orchestras, debuts at the Auditorium of Milan with an exceptional concert! From the great contemporary American tradition, it will take us back to the legendary German romantic tradition of the beginning of the 19th century.
John Corigliano and his Concerto for Violin and Orchestra "The Red Violin" will be the core of the first part: this concert, composed in 1998 for the movie of the same name, won the Academy Award for Best Original Score in 1999. Now, it arrives at the Auditorium of Milan with a magnificent romanian violinist: Mihalea Costea, After an overview of the contemporary American tradition, the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini, conducted by Franceco Lanzillotta, will execute one of the masterpieces of the Romantic tradition: the Symphony no. 7 in A Major by Ludwig van Beethoven.
