Programme
Johannes Brahms Symphony n. 1 in C minor op. 68
Johannes Brahms Symphony n. 2 in D major op. 73

The fruit of long reflections, reviews, and experiments, Johannes Brahms’ Symphonies constitute a pivotal point in the Romantic music of the second half of the XIX century, an ideal conclusion to the world of Beethoven and, at the same time, a point of departure for the masterpieces of the music of the future. Robert Trevino, one of the most acclaimed conductors of the young American generation, will perform Brahms’ Symphonies with the Orchestra Verdi in this first of the two appointments dedicated to them.
