Programme
Johannes Brahms Violin Concerto in D major op. 77
Anton Bruckner Symphony n. 4 in E flat major "Romantic"

After Beethoven and Schubert, the Romantic season in Vienna did not die out, but rather, on the contrary, took on new life. The stars of this last, glorious musical season were Johannes Brahms and Anton Bruckner who, with their languages, transformed the Austrian capital into a hotbed of new experimentations and ancient traditions. Thus, between 1874 and 1878, two stunningly beautiful masterpieces were born. Claus Peter Flor will be performing them with laVerdi, accompanied by the Dutch violinist Liza Ferschtman.
