Gioachino Rossini Stabat Mater

Founded in 1999 by Maestro Romano Gandolfi, the laVerdi Symphonic Choir is celebrating its twentieth anniversary with the performance of a great Italian masterpiece. Since its very first performance in 1842, it was received as one of the highest peaks ever reached in the history of sacred music, and still today Gioachino Rossini’s Stabat Mater represents an unparalleled compromise between theatricality and spirituality, due to its effect on stage and intimate and immediate expressiveness.
