Course of reading music
BASIC COURSE OF READING MUSIC
4th October 2011 - February 7th, 2012
TOPIC AND TARGET GROUP:
The "Basic course of reading music" is for music lovers of any age who want to learn for the first time how to read the music: from the staff-notes to the reading of a symphonic scores.
Course topics will include: the Notes and the Pentagram, the octaves, the music keys, rhythm and measures, the duration of notes and rests, signs of Dynamics, Expression and Abbreviation, Embellishments, Timbre and Classification of instruments, musical scales, the score, etc..
DURATION AND STRUCTURE:
The course is structured in three modules of five lessons, in total fifteen lessons of one hour each.
TIME AND PLACE:
Classes will take place in the Foyer of the Auditorium's Bar, every Tuesday from 4th October 2011 to February 7th, 2012, from 18.30 to 19.30.

GUIDE TO LISTENING AND ANALYSIS OF MUSIC

TOPIC AND PUBLIC REFERENCE:
The course of "Guide to listening and musical analysis" is for music lovers of all ages, with basic musical concepts, that want to improve their musical knowledge through listening and analysis of the scores, forms and musical genres.
Course topics will include: intervals, scales, chords, the harmony, the concept of Musical Form, Form-Sonata, Theme and Variations, The Rondo, Suite, Concerto, Symphony, the Programme music, the overture, the Lied, the musical drama, chamber music, etc..

The course is structured in three modules of five lessons, in total fifteen lessons of one hour each.
