La Verdi per tutti is a non professional Orchestra that was born in 2005, at the Auditorium of Milano, by a project of the Symphonic Orchestra of Milano “Giuseppe Verdi ”.
Easy for everybody, without age limits, the Orchestra is made of 70 musicians, from 17 to 70 years old, that love to play toghether. All the Orchestra musicians have studied an instrument in the past and are still studying with great devotion - often they're very talented - even if they are not professional musicians. What they didn't have before was the chance to play together with other musicians and to perform great symphonic repertoire.
The musicians practice together every week and they are conducted by the Conductor Jader Bignamini in collaboration with three Orchestra Masters,
Fausto Ghiazza for flute, Luca Santaniello for violin and viola, and Mario Shiraj Grigolato for cello and contrabass.
La Verdi per tutti had its first performance on June the 27th 2006, playing very important masterpieces of Mozart and Beethoven.
Compared to other Countries, in which non professional Orchestras are very popular, in Italy, being part of a non professional orchestra is really unusual and, sometimes, it is considered a privilege.
La Verdi per tutti is the only non professional Orchestra in Italy that is supported by one of the most important Italian Symphonic Orchestras.
In may 2008 La Verdi for Everybody Orchestra wins in "Filippo Siebaneck" Award category at the XXVII "Franco Abbiati" Music Criticism Award.
Orchestra Amatoriale la Verdi per tutti performed at the Grand Gala held January 12th 2009 to celebrate the acquisition of the Auditorium di Milano Fondazione Cariplo.
