Roberto Cominati, pianist
After his recital at the Salzburg Festival, it was written on the Salzburger Nachtrichten: “Endless his undertones when he explores Debussy's precious and bewitching sound, enchanting his blend of passion and exquisite technique in Le Tombeau de Couperin, extraordinary his ardent sharpness in the undulating transcription of La Valse…”
Born in Naples, Roberto Cominati began studying piano at a very early age: he was just eight when he was admitted to the Conservatory San Pietro a Majella in Naples for special merits. From 1976 to 1982 he participated in the most important piano national competitions, being awarded the highest prizes everywhere.

In 1999 he was rewarded the Jacques Stehman Prize by the audience of the RTBF and TV5 France at the Bruxelles Reine Elisabeth Competition.
