Evelina Dobračeva, soprano
Born in Russia, Evelina Dobračeva studied accordion, conducting and teaching at the College of Music in her hometown of Syzran, graduating with a diploma in 1994. 
After relocating to Berlin in 2000, she began singing under the tuition of Professor Norma Sharp, Snezana Brzakovic and Professor Julia Varady at the Hanns Eisler Music College in Berlin. Ms. Dobračeva has participated in masterclasses with Professor Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Professor Thomas Quasthoff and Peter Konvitschny.
Ms. Dobračeva's competitive successes include the highest level of scholarship from the German Republic in 2004 and 2006 and prize winner in the Würzburg Mozart Competition in 2006.
In concert, Ms. Dobračeva has sung Eine Deutsches Requiem by Brahms and Beethoven's 9th Symphony at the Philharmonie Berlin, Rossini's Petite Messe Solenelle at the Berliner Dom and Szymanovsky's Hungarian Stabat Mater in Berlin.
Ms. Dobračeva's operatic debut was in the role of Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni at the Kampnagel Fabrik in Hamburg, followed by the role of Ariadne in Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos. 
She has recently sung Margarita's Songs by Lokshin with the Virtuosi Moskvi in Moscow, Beethoven 9 conducted by Alexander Anissimov, Donna Anna In Don Giovanni with the Deutsche Staatsoper on tour to Japan, Emma in Khovanshina at the Bayerische Staatsooper. She has just recorded Rusalka by Dargomizhki with the West Deutsche Rundfunk conducted by Mikhail Jurovsky.
Her future engagements include Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte at the Toulon Opera and at the Verbier Festival, Margarita's Songs with the Dresden Philharmonic under the baton of Rudolf Barshai, Micaela in Piero Faggioni's new production of Carmen at the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St.Petersburg and at the Cologne Opera, La Traviata at the Cologne Opera.
