Alberto Rota, bass
Born in Bergamo in 1968, he studied at the conservatoire G. Donizetti.
In 1993, after winning the “XLII Concorso Internazionale G. Belli” in Spoleto, he made his début in “M. Butterfly”. After that he has been interpreting several  roles: Colline in “Bohème”, Angelotti in ”Tosca” by G. Puccini, Capellio in “Capuleti and Montecchi”, Oroveso in “Norma”, Lord Valton in “I Puritani”by V.Bellini, Raimondo in “Lucia of Lammermoor”, Noe in the “Diluvio Universale” by  G.Donizetti, Ferrando in “Trovatore”, Loredano in “I Due Foscari” Jorg in “Stiffelio”, Monterone and Sparafucile in “Rigoletto”,  Pietro in “Simone Boccanegra”, Pope Leon in“Attila”, Silva in “Ernani”, Ramfis in “Aida”, Banko in “Macbeth” by G. Verdi, Sarastro in the “Zauberflöte” by W.A.Mozart, Don Basilio in “Barbiere di Siviglia” by G. Rossini and others in different theatres, such as “Teatro Chiabrera” in Savona, “Teatro Comunale” in Modena, the Concert Hall in Athens, “Teatro G. Verdi” in Padua, “Sferisterio” in Macerata, “Teatro G. Verdi”in Pisa, “Teatro G. Verdi”in Trieste,  “Teatro Donizetti” in Bergamo, “Teatro Grande” in Brescia,  “Teatro Carlo Felice” in Genova, Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, “Teatro Massimo” in Palermo, Arena di Verona and many others.
He's devoting himself to a busy concert activity both in church music and in opera; he performed in “La Passione secondo San Marco” by Perosi in the presence of Pope John Paul II in sala Nervi.
