
Verdi Treble Chorus course begins in autumn 2001 and is finalized to develop the existing treble chorus. Today the number of the children reaches the amount of 25, between 6 and 12 years, divided in two groups.
One group is propaedeutic and is composed by the younger ones. During the class children learn to sing on a funny and amusing way, using simple musical instruments, such as marimba and tambourine. With the help of their teacher they construct those instrument by themselves, using them in order to train their ear to the listening of music. The course is attended by Maria Antonietta Preti soprano of Verdi's Symphony Chorus.
The second group is composes by older children and is finalized to vocalization techniques, by using vocal exercises and breathing. The repertory includes canons as well as classical peaces. The course is attended by Maria Teresa Tramontin, mezzo soprano of Verdi's Symphony Chorus.
December the 16th 2004 Verdi treble chorus participated at Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, conducted by Maestro Romano Gandolfi.
