Verdi Junior Symphony Orchestra is born in autumn 2007 and is made up of children between 9 and 17 years, that individually attend instrument classes and are able to show a good knowledge of their instrument.
Rehearsal of the Orchestra are given every Thursday afternoon under the supervision of Ruben Jais, resident conductor of the Milan Verdi Symphony Orchestra and of other performer of Verdi's Orchestra as Luca Santaniello for the string instruments, Raffaella Ciapponi for the wind instruments, Emanuele Maginzali for the brass and Viviana Mologni for kettledrums and percussions.
Verdi Junior Symphony Orchestra has given his first concert on may the 24th 2008 at the Teatro Martinetti of Garlasco and performed the first time in the Auditorium of Milan on june the 7th 2008.
Furthermore the Verdi Junior Symphony Orchestra is the main part of the Elba Jazz Kids Orchestra, the first children jazz orchestra in Italy. During the year the ensemble has learned an original repertory composed by Maestro Antonio Eros Negri, that revisits different classic tracks, adapting them to the technical ability of the younger musicians. He produced also original scores. The opening concert was on the 4th and the 5th of September in Marciana Marina (Elba Island) during the Elba Jazz Festival.

Marciana Marina, Elba Jazz Festival
Kids Elba Jazz Orchestra is the first jazz orchestra made of children in Italy, made up of 45 small musicians aged between 6 and 14 years.
The ensemble has learned during the school year a repertoire Maestro Antonio Eros Negri's repertoire, who has revisited several jazz classics adapted to the technical capacity of young,
in addition to producing original scores. The same repertoire was played during the inaugural concert of new orchestra, 4 and 5 September in Marciana Marina (Isola d'Elba) in Elba Jazz festival.
