Tomas Cerny, tenore
Al presente, uno dei più importanti tenori cechi, Tomas Cerny, si esibisce come solista ospite sia al National Theatre Opera di Praga sia al Praga State Opera. Ha ottenuto un grande successo alla Staatsoper Stuttgart nel luglio 2008 come Laca Klemen nella produzione Jenufa di Janacek di Calixto Bieito sotto la direzione di Marc Piollet e al Opernhaus Zürich come Principe in Rusalka DI Dvorak nel giugno 2010- direttore Vladimir Fedoseyev .In dicembre 2009 Tomas Cerny tenne un concerto su Cajkovskij al Komische Oper Berlin sotto la direzione di Carl St. Clair. Sotto la bacchetta di Manfred Honeck, Cerny ha cantato nella parte del tenore nello Stabat Mater di Dvorak con la Czech Philharmonic nel gennaio 2011.Tomas Cerny è specializzato nel repertorio concertistico di Dvorak ed è internazionalmente acclamato per le parti di tenore in Stabat Mater, Requiem e La moglie del fantasma.
Al tenore è stato assegnato il prestigioso premio ceco Thalia 2000 per l’intepretazione del Principe Sou-Chong nella Terra dei sorrisi di Lehar. In seguito, è stato premiato al Festival Opera 2005 per la miglior interpretazione del titolo del ruolo – Edgardo dalla Lucia di Lammermoor di Donizetti ed è stato nominato, per Thalia 2005, per il ruolo di Laca dalla Jenufa di Janacek e per Thalia 2008 per il ruolo di Jenik da La sposa venduta e per Thalia 2010 nominato per Don José dalla Carmen di Bizet.
Sui palcoscenici operistici ha creato un numero di importanti ruoli sia cechi sia internazionali quali Rodolfo in Bohème, Rodolfo (La Boheme), Cavaradossi (Tosca), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Don José (Carmen), Loris Ipanoff (Fedora), Alfredo (La traviata), The Prince (Rusalka), Jenik (The Bartered Bride) and Laca (Jenufa).
At present, one of the most outstanding Czech tenors Tomas Cerny performs as a permanent guest soloist at both the National Theatre Opera in Prague and the Prague State Opera. He made a highly successful debut at Staatsoper Stuttgart in Jully 2008 as Laca Klemen in Calixto Bieito´s production of Janacek´s Jenufa under the baton of Marc Piollet and at Opernhaus Zürich as The Prince from Dvorak´s Rusalka in June 2010 - conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev. In December 2009 Tomas Cerny gave a Tchaikovski concert at the Komische Oper Berlin under the chief conductor Carl St. Clair. Under the baton of Manfred Honeck Mr Cerny sang the tenor part of Dvorak’s Stabat Mater with the Czech Philharmonic in January 2011.
Tomas Cerny is specialized in Dvorak´s concert repertoire and is internationally acclaimed for singing tenor parts in Stabat Mater, Requiem and The Spectre´s Bride.
Tomas Cerny was awarded the Czech prestigious Thalia 2000 prize for the interpretation of Prince Sou-Chong in Lehar's Land of Smiles. On opera stages, he has created a number of important roles of the Czech as well as world tenor repertoire such as Rodolfo (Puccini – La Boheme), Cavaradossi (Puccini - Tosca), Pinkerton (Puccini - Madama Butterfly), Don José (Bizet - Carmen), Loris Ipanoff (Giordano - Fedora), Alfredo (Verdi - La traviata), The Prince (Dvorak - Rusalka), Jenik (Smetana - The Bartered Bride) and Laca (Janacek - Jenufa).
